Within 30 minutes drive of Bo Klua View are:
- Ancient salt wells – still worked by local villagers
- Hill tribe villages – some tribes are only found in this part of Thailand
- Doi Phu Fa Royal Project – tea plantation, plant nursery, handicrafts
- Caves and waterfalls – take your pick
- Jungle treks – alone or with a guide
- Rafting on the Mang and Wa rivers – done by a professional rafting company
- Doi Phu Kha National Park – see the rare Chompoo Tree and Ancient Fish Tail Palms (both found nowhere else in Thailand)
- Khun Nan National Park – Thailand’s newest national park
- Traditional weaving and handicrafts villages
Go a little further afield to take in the many attractions of this unspoiled part of Thailand, including the silver making villages around nearby Pua. Or head north through rarely visited villages to the Thai/Laos border crossing.
Fish with the locals; raft on the Mang or the Wa rivers; explore caves and waterfalls; stroll only a few minutes to the village of Bo Luang to see the locals work the salt wells - as their ancestors have done for hundreds of years.
Or just sit on your private balcony and watch the rice grow.
